Preservation By Obliteration

Upgraded and adapted from part of a response to a comment in the Moot:

To the extent that conservatives care about diversity at all (or claim to do) it seems to me they usually really want to be curators of a kind of diversity of the dead, elite caretakers in a museum of preserved, closed-off, non-communicating, non-dynamic displays of difference exhaustively cataloged in their differences and to which the incumbent interests conservatism actually serves can remain comfortably indifferent, because they remain untouched by these differences precisely by the terms of their actually obliterative preservation.
