BooMan Asks An Interesting Question

Where Are the Teabaggers?
Congress has been in recess for a while. I assume there are town hall meetings all over the country. So, where are the screaming teabaggers? Isn't this proof that the last August outbreak of teabaggery wasn't spontaneous, but paid for?

The answer, of course, is Yes.

One hopes this also means the politics over financial reform (given hatred of the fraudsters), the climate bill (given outrage over the BP disaster brought to you by deregulation and fraud), and immigration reform (given the impact of Republican Racists on Parade on the Democratic Base and also these near-mythical "Independents") are too complex for fake grassroots campaigns to buy or sell quite so straightforwardly or cost-effectively. Also one hopes this comparative dearth of Know Nothing mobs will have some impact on media narratives this fall about the Energized Wingnut Base presumably threatening Dems with a Gingrichian Wave of Doom And Death (we'll know better in August).
