In 2008, California really let me down. That awful ugly vote for Prop H8te was the piss in the punch bowl that kept queer folks like me from sharing fully in the brief interlude of hope arising out of Obama's victory -- and then Rick Warren set the stage for serial disappointments to come. Now, I must say I am hoping California buoys me up from what has otherwise been a rather grim election day.
It's looking like Brown and Boxer have prevailed over the moneybags. Now I've got my eyes on these Propositions. The stakes are high.
