Speaking of which, I saw an interview, on the screen (you
can't say "tube" anymore) at a deli on the way home from work
last night, with Rick Santorum,
on some pundit's cable show -- I guess it was Piers Morgan
(with the British accent) on CNN (yes, I had to look that
up).
Anyway, when asked to comment on Obama's address at the
National Prayer Breakfast yesterday (so what's the deal with
Obama getting all devout?, he asked), in which the President
connected government policy with Jesus' message about the
poor (or something like that -- you don't suppose it could
have been a sly allusion to Mitt Romney's little slip on
the same subject the other day, do you? ;-> ), Santorum
said "There's nothing in the Bible about a government having
the right to take money away from the successful."
Gee, was Ayn Rand a closet Catholic? (Is Rick Santorum a
closet Objectivist? [Or maybe not so closeted, what?]).
;->
American Christianity is an extremely mutagenic strain.
> Santorum said. . .
He also said, "The U.S. is **already** at war with Iran.
The U.S. has been at war with Iran for the past 30 years."
So actually sending troops there would be just a formality.
Don't act surprised when that happens!
Also, too, Oceania has always been at war with Eastasia.
Major high five to the new Muppets pic.
Have you seen Citizen Radio's Jamie Kilstein's Muppets tattoo? It's Gonzo applying the rear naked choke (most homoerotic killing move name of all time) to Sam Eagleton.
High-larious.
